Fill command is used to fill ink in ink pipelines. To fill ink, Switch ON the machine and wait till machine is Ready. Press the Menu button available on the Machine LCD Screen and select the Head Cleaning option from the list. The list of cleaning options appears on the screen from where select the Fill option by moving the cursor and press the ENTER key from the keyboard. Now, the ink filling process gets started to fill cartridges to Ink pipe line.
The Dot Test option is used to check the dot placement accuracy of each color such as cyan, magenta, yellow and black. If color placement accuracy of any color is not correct, then print is not sharp. This option works to increase the print quality.
The head interleave test checks the edge’s orientation of the print head with respect to the head plate. The left and right edges of the print head should be exactly parallel to the head plate.
The Head Space alignment test checks the spacing between two heads of the machine. If two heads are not placed horizontally correct, then they can hamper the printing quality. After getting the head space alignment result, observe the printed patterns and select the best pattern from all the available. Enter the correction value in the given field in the LCD control panel screen to align the head.
This adjustment calibrates all the color channels with respect to the base color so that each color is properly aligned with others. The horizontal adjustment test includes the left, right, and bi-direction alignment tests.
VSD Mode 3
Seven head alignment options are available namely Dot Test, Head Interleave Test. Head Slant Test, Head Interval Test, Head Space Alignment, Feed Adjustment and Horizontal Adjustment.
The Suck Ink Time option is used to suck ink from head through the Captop Capping and sent the ink to the waste ink tank.

AuraJet Machine supports 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. The USB 3.0 port is a high-speed connectivity cable which reduces running time.
AuraJet machine has two models as per print head namely Single Head and Dual Head.
The room temperature should be maintained in the range of 18 - 28 Degree Celsius with humidity 20 - 80% RH. Additionally, the room should be closed, dust free and should not air draught.
Eco Solvent ink for CMYK
The head alignment process can only be performed when service mode is ON in the printer. Follow these steps to enable Service Mode:
- Press the Menu key available on the Machine LCD Screen.
- Select the System Option from the Menu List.
- After selecting it, the Advance Mode screen appears and enter the Password.
- Press OK Option from the LCD Panel. Now, the Service Mode is enabled.
The standard Flash Frequency value is 1000.

- Insert the nut into the damper pipe.
- Insert the o-ring into the damper pipe.

There are several reasons when Carriage Left Movement command is not working such as loose connection of wire between motor and Main Board, check whether encoder scale is ok or not ok, clean the encoder scale, check whether Encoder Sensor is ok or not, check alignment of Encoder Scale and Encoder Sensor.

To adjust head height, rotate the Head Height Adjustment knob available on the carriage in clockwise or anti-clock wise direction.
User can adjust head height during printing. To adjust head height, first pause the printing and adjust head height by rotating the Head Height Adjustment knob clockwise or anti-clock wise direction as per requirements.
Maximum thickness of media is up to 3 mm.
The Advance Media Sensor is used to sense the black and white media.
IR Heater
Vacuum bed helps to tightly hold media on the bed and remove wrinkles or unevenness.
Eco-friendly, fast dry and aqueous based ink is used for green printing in our machine.

Steps to install print head:
- Remove the Ink Inlet caps gently to avoid damage to the Print Head, as shown below:
- Fix the Air Releasing pipe on one end of the Ink Inlet Tube.
- Remove the Nozzle Cap from the Print Head.
- Mount the Print Head in the slot on the Head Plate.
- Fix all the screws (3x16 mm screws) gently on the Print Head.
- Fix the Ink Sub Tank pipe into the other end of the Ink Inlet.
- Remove the cap of the Air Releasing Pipe.
- Hold the pipe down and press the Purging button of a particular color.
- Simultaneous, release the purging button and cap the Air Releasing Pipe.
- Insert one end of the head cable on the top of the Print Head by following the arrow mark.
- Similarly, insert the second end of the head cable on the Head Board.
- Check whether the Waste Bottle is attached or not.
- Perform the Head Purging for all colors.
- Perform the Head Blotting to gently clean the Print Head.
- Perform the Nozzle Test to check the nozzle status of all the Print Heads.
The following checks should perform before using the printer:
- Check nozzle status by using the Nozzle Test.
- Check the waste ink bottle.
- Check ink level in the ink tanks
- Check the room environment and ventilation.
Precautions while working with print head:
- Always cap print heads when not in use.
- Maintain room temperature and other environmental aspects like dust free and close room.
- Don’t apply much pressure on head while cleaning.
- Don’t rub the nozzle surface.
- Don’t reuse the tissue paper.
- Don’t use the expiry ink.
- Use only recommended ink.
Steps to clean print head:
- Press the Purging button available on the front of the carriage each color.
- Multi fold the tissue paper 3-4 times.
- Hold it from one end such that other end remains flexible and extra pressure is not getting applied on the heads.
- Wet the other end of the tissue paper with solvent.
- Wipe it softly once, to soak all residue inks on the nozzle plate.
Steps to replace belt of step motor:
- Loosen all the four screws on the motor
- Remove belt and change it.
- Again, tight all the four screws to stretch the belt with motor.
Steps to switch OFF the printer:
- Check nozzle status by issuing the Nozzle Test command.
- Clean the capping area
- Unload the media
- Cap the print head by issuing the Capping command.
- Switch OFF the machine and main power.
- Cover the printer.
Steps to get ready the supply unit:
- Load the media.
- Set the supply direction in the auto mode.

Procedure to load media:
- Lift Up Media Lever
- Unwind the media roll to reach near the platen and hold it.
- Insert the taken-out media between the platform and the pinch roller.
- Pull the media out in front of the machine.
- Holding the media firmly and push down the Media Lever.
- Turn on the Supply Auto/Supply switch in auto mode and carefully observe the direction of media either reverse or forward.
- Install the media clamps from both ends
- Pull the enough media so that it reaches to the Take Up roller (Optional) or let the media down by issuing the Print command).
- Paste the front edge of the media on the Core.
- Turn on the Take Up System and observe the media direction (either reverse or forward).
- Move the media forward so that it rolls easily over the Core.
- Adjust the bed vacuum to firmly hold the media as per the media type, using the Bed Vacuum regulator.
The length of password field is 16 digits.
To update X and Y speed, click the Main Menu? Settings? Edit option. The Setting window appears on the screen with several tabs. From this, select the Move tab. After that, set the X and Y speeds in their respective fields.
The extended heater is used to overcome the problem of print mot dry.

Steps to get printer ready:
- Check and maintain the room temperature for smooth printing operations.
- Check Ink Level.
- Check Waste Ink Bottle.
- Release the Emergency button, if pressed.
- Turn ON the Main Power switch located on the right side of the machine.
- Check water level in the Chiller Unit and fill it, if required.
- Switch ON the Chiller unit.
- Place the media on the Print Bed.
- Switch ON the Print Bed vacuum by pressing the Bed Vacuum button available on the front side of the machine.
- To initialize the machine, first open the Print Control Center and get it ready for use. Now, the machine starts initializing automatically.
- Rotate ink valve of each color in anti-clock direction using the key to open it.
- Switch ON Ink Valve by rotating the key.
- Lift the carriage up by pressing the Lifter Back Zero button on the Carriage Lifter tab under the Maintenance menu.
- Press the Purging button (Refer to Fig 10) and clean print heads using the tissue provided with the printer.
- Bring down the carriage by pressing the Lifter Move to Print Height button.
- Perform Nozzle test.
To add print job, click the Task Select menu and select the image file (.prt or .prn format) path.
First select the image file from the Task Select menu and double-click on the file. The Properties dialog box appears with several sub options like multi copy, crop image, mirror, reverse or forward, carriage speed, raise ink etc, and click on print.
To check nozzle status, click the Operation Menu Status icon. The Media Thickness dialog box appears and set different options like media thickness print head to media height and lifter height. After that, click the Start Print button to check nozzle status.
To change carriage speed during printing, click the Operation Menu and change direction like high, medium, and low.
Yes, user can change print direction during printing by clicking the Operation Menu and change direction like left, right or both.
To check the ink consumption, double click on the image file in the Task Select window. The Properties dialog box appears from where user needs to click on the Ink Volume button. The Image Color Ink Volume screen appears which displays the ink consumption of the selected image file.
Steps to install the print controller software:
- Insert CD in the CD drive
- Open the VerveMini folder and double-click on the setup file. The Installation Wizard appears on the screen.
- Follow the instructions by selecting as per printer configuration and click the Next button.
- After finishing the installation process, the print controller software shortcut is created on desktop.
- Enable the Administration mode by right click on the VerveMini icon on the desktop and select the Properties option. After that select the Compatibility tab and enable the Run this program as an administrator checkbox.
- After performing the above step, click the Apply button.
- To find the process, click the OK button.
Printer control software must be run as administrator. To set it as run administrator, right-click on the VerveMini icon available on the desktop and select the Properties option. The Properties window appears on the screen. From there, select the Compatibility tab and check the Run this program as an administrator checkbox. After that, click the Apply button and then the OK button to save the settings.
When we open the Print Control Center, 1190 error appears on the screen. To remove this error, the desired head configuration has to be selected. To select the head configuration settings, click on the Maintenance Voltage path. The System Setting screen appears with several tabs. Before setting print head configuration, service engineer has to provide the password in the user login screen. After this, follow these steps to configure print head: 1.Select the desired option as per ink from the Print Head Configuration list box. 2.Click on the Load Configuration button. 3.Click on the Apply button to apply the settings.
In Verve Mini, the leveling of print bed is verified at 12 points using the Taper Gauge. The maximum tolerance should be +/- 0.2mm.
To set head height, click on the Maintenance menu and select the Carriage Lifter tab. The Settings & Status screen appears where user needs to manually add value or use the Detect Media Height button.
To verify the alignment of Gantry with respect to bed, user needs to issue the full print command by setting X and Y margin value to 0. After completing the print, check print is aligned with scale engrave on the bed. In case, they are not aligned then loose the gantry mounting bracket and adjust it as per requirements.
To start chiller unit, switch ON/OFF button to start the chiller unit. There are two knobs to adjust the intensity of UV lamps and chiller temperature controller to adjust temperature.
Ricoh 2220 Print Head
Print head should always be installed by service engineer. Follow the below mentioned steps to install print head in VerveMini machine:
- Switch OFF the software and then printer.
- Remove the head cover.
- Fix the Ink Inlet pipes as per the length required.
- Pass the head mounting bracket through the pipes to the print head base.
- Remove the head connector cap.
- Each print head has two head cables. Insert one end of each head cable (with shorter blue chip) taking care of the head cable orientation, by gently pressing to it.
- Bend the head cables from the blue-chip end.
- Put back the head connector cap.
- Pass the head cables through the slot on the Head Connector cap.
- Remove the Nozzle Cap from the Print Head.
- Placing the screws in head bracket, mount the Print Head in the slot on the Head Plate.
- Tight screws gently on the Print Head to fix it.
- Pass the head cables behind the sub tanks taking optimized and shortest path, so that it should not stuck in between any obstructions while Z moves up/down.
- Insert the other end of both head cables to given connector slots on the headboard. See marking on the headboard connectors (L is Left and R is right) and accordingly connect the left and right head cable of each head on the Head Board.
The Flash button available on the right side of the control panel is used for manually spray the print head to avoid dryness.
UV inks like Rigid, Flexible and Universal inks.

The maximum thickness of media is up to 65 mm.
Reverse printing allows to print white over color. This option is mainly used while printing on glass.
In this printer we can print multilayer print like day night image changing effect, day night effect same, 3D or embossing effect etc.
To print full white over an image, click the Print Option on the main screen. After that, select the Full option of the Date Source list under the Spot Proc section.
To print varnish, click the Print Option on the main screen. After that, define the volume as 100 in the Varnish Volumelist box color and select the source as Full in the Varnish Source list box.
VerveMini is a UV printer thus print is cured by UV lights/ In VerveMini, two UV lamps left and right side of the carriage is used to dry the print.
Vacuum bed is used to hold media evenly on bed.
To clean print head, open the ink valves of sub tank and then press the Purging button from the front panel. After that, wipe nozzle surface with the help of manual wiper or recommended tissue paper.
Steps to switch OFF the printer:
- Switch OFF the bed vacuum by clicking on the Bed Vacuum button.
- Move the carriage over the print bed and bring down the carriage to the minimum position using the down arrow.
- Switch off the Chiller Unit by pressing the OFF button .
- Turn off the ink valves.
- Move the Main Power switch in anti-clock direction to switch off the printer.
- Turn Off the main switch. After switch OFF, properly cover the printer to protect from the dust.
Reasons for print head not firing:
- Check nozzle status
- Properly clean print head using the head cleaning techniques
- Properly cap print head with fresh tissue with dip in cleaning solution
- Don?t apply much pressure while cleaning
Reasons for print not sharp or spray on print:
- Check head height (maximum 2.5 to 3mm from print surface)
- Head voltage not correct
- Recommended ink is not used
- Expiry ink or not store properly
Reasons for printer not initialise:
- Emergency button press
- Head power OFF/li>
- Encoder sensor disconnect or faulty /li>

The room temperature for VerveMini is required 20 to 25 Degree Celsius and Humidity is 20 to 55%RH.
The Lifting Carriage option is used to lift up and down the carriage.
Ink Valve key is used to open and close the ink valve.
To fill ink in VerveMini, open main ink tanks and refill ink as per the Color Sticker.
Color sequence in VerveMini machine from left side is KCMYWV.
HC Code refers to the Work Mode - Default H.
C3 Code refers to the Water Shortage Alarm Delay.
Two UV Lamps are used in VerveMini Machine.
No print option is used to avoid white color during print.
The Full option is used to print white all over the image.
The RIP option is used to print white color as per Ripping file.
In C+W+V option, the C refers to the CMYK Colors, W refers to the White color and V refers to the Varnish. This means first layer of CMYK color, second layer of white and third layer of Varnish is printed.

Steps to get printer ready:
- Check and maintain the room temperature for smooth printing operations.
- Check Ink Level.
- Check Waste Ink Bottle.
- Release the Emergency button, if pressed.
- Turn ON the Main Power switch located on the right side of the machine.
- Check water level in the Chiller Unit and fill it, if required.
- Switch ON the Chiller unit.
- Place the media on the Print Bed.
- Switch ON the Print Bed vacuum by pressing the Bed Vacuum button available on the front side of the machine.
- To initialize the machine, first open the Print Control Center and get it ready for use. Now, the machine starts initializing automatically.
- Rotate ink valve of each color in anti-clock direction using the key to open it.
- Switch ON Ink Valve by rotating the key.
- Lift the carriage up by pressing the Lifter Back Zero button on the Carriage Lifter tab under the Maintenance menu.
- Press the Purging button (Refer to Fig 10) and clean print heads using the tissue provided with the printer.
- Bring down the carriage by pressing the Lifter Move to Print Height button.
- Perform Nozzle test.
To add print job, click the Task Select menu and select the image file (.prt or .prn format) path.
First select the image file from the Task Select menu and double-click on the file. The Properties dialog box appears with several sub options like multi copy, crop image, mirror, reverse or forward, carriage speed, raise ink etc, and click on print.
To check nozzle status, click the Operation Menu Status icon. The Media Thickness dialog box appears and set different options like media thickness print head to media height and lifter height. After that, click the Start Print button to check nozzle status.
To change carriage speed during printing, click the Operation Menu and change direction like high, medium, and low.
Yes, user can change print direction during printing by clicking the Operation Menu and change direction like left, right or both.
To check the ink consumption, double click on the image file in the Task Select window. The Properties dialog box appears from where user needs to click on the Ink Volume button. The Image Color Ink Volume screen appears which displays the ink consumption of the selected image file.
Steps to install the print controller software:
- Insert CD in the CD drive
- Open the VerveMini folder and double-click on the setup file. The Installation Wizard appears on the screen.
- Follow the instructions by selecting as per printer configuration and click the Next button.
- After finishing the installation process, the print controller software shortcut is created on desktop.
- Enable the Administration mode by right click on the VerveMini icon on the desktop and select the Properties option. After that select the Compatibility tab and enable the Run this program as an administrator checkbox.
- After performing the above step, click the Apply button.
- To find the process, click the OK button.
Printer control software must be run as administrator. To set it as run administrator, right-click on the VerveMini icon available on the desktop and select the Properties option. The Properties window appears on the screen. From there, select the Compatibility tab and check the Run this program as an administrator checkbox. After that, click the Apply button and then the OK button to save the settings.
When we open the Print Control Center, 1190 error appears on the screen. To remove this error, the desired head configuration has to be selected. To select the head configuration settings, click on the Maintenance Voltage path. The System Setting screen appears with several tabs. Before setting print head configuration, service engineer has to provide the password in the user login screen. After this, follow these steps to configure print head: 1.Select the desired option as per ink from the Print Head Configuration list box. 2.Click on the Load Configuration button. 3.Click on the Apply button to apply the settings.
In Verve Mini, the leveling of print bed is verified at 12 points using the Taper Gauge. The maximum tolerance should be +/- 0.2mm.
To set head height, click on the Maintenance menu and select the Carriage Lifter tab. The Settings & Status screen appears where user needs to manually add value or use the Detect Media Height button.
To verify the alignment of Gantry with respect to bed, user needs to issue the full print command by setting X and Y margin value to 0. After completing the print, check print is aligned with scale engrave on the bed. In case, they are not aligned then loose the gantry mounting bracket and adjust it as per requirements.
To start chiller unit, switch ON/OFF button to start the chiller unit. There are two knobs to adjust the intensity of UV lamps and chiller temperature controller to adjust temperature.
Ricoh 2220 Print Head
Print head should always be installed by service engineer. Follow the below mentioned steps to install print head in VerveMini machine:
- Switch OFF the software and then printer.
- Remove the head cover.
- Fix the Ink Inlet pipes as per the length required.
- Pass the head mounting bracket through the pipes to the print head base.
- Remove the head connector cap.
- Each print head has two head cables. Insert one end of each head cable (with shorter blue chip) taking care of the head cable orientation, by gently pressing to it.
- Bend the head cables from the blue-chip end.
- Put back the head connector cap.
- Pass the head cables through the slot on the Head Connector cap.
- Remove the Nozzle Cap from the Print Head.
- Placing the screws in head bracket, mount the Print Head in the slot on the Head Plate.
- Tight screws gently on the Print Head to fix it.
- Pass the head cables behind the sub tanks taking optimized and shortest path, so that it should not stuck in between any obstructions while Z moves up/down.
- Insert the other end of both head cables to given connector slots on the headboard. See marking on the headboard connectors (L is Left and R is right) and accordingly connect the left and right head cable of each head on the Head Board.
The Flash button available on the right side of the control panel is used for manually spray the print head to avoid dryness.

To print varnish, click the Print Option on the main screen. After that, define the volume as 100 in the Varnish Volumelist box color and select the source as Full in the Varnish Source list box.
VerveMini is a UV printer thus print is cured by UV lights/ In VerveMini, two UV lamps left and right side of the carriage is used to dry the print.
Vacuum bed is used to hold media evenly on bed.
To clean print head, open the ink valves of sub tank and then press the Purging button from the front panel. After that, wipe nozzle surface with the help of manual wiper or recommended tissue paper.
Steps to switch OFF the printer:
- Switch OFF the bed vacuum by clicking on the Bed Vacuum button.
- Move the carriage over the print bed and bring down the carriage to the minimum position using the down arrow.
- Switch off the Chiller Unit by pressing the OFF button .
- Turn off the ink valves.
- Move the Main Power switch in anti-clock direction to switch off the printer.
- Turn Off the main switch. After switch OFF, properly cover the printer to protect from the dust.
Reasons for print head not firing:
- Check nozzle status
- Properly clean print head using the head cleaning techniques
- Properly cap print head with fresh tissue with dip in cleaning solution
- Don?t apply much pressure while cleaning
Reasons for print not sharp or spray on print:
- Check head height (maximum 2.5 to 3mm from print surface)

User can adjust UV lamp power using the Chiller unit. There are two knobs in the Chiller to switch ON/OFF UV Lamps and change intensity of UV.
To adjust UV settings, click the Main Menu ToolsUV Setting path. The UV Setting dialog box appears on the screen. The UV Setting option enables user to control and manage different parameters of both UV lamps viz. Left UV lamp and Right UV lamp. Using the UV window, user can set left and right light setting, enable or disable print to left and print to right options, and most importantly define the range first nozzle as well as initial lead of shutter.
To start chiller unit, turn ON the chiller by pressing the Switch ON button. Additionally, adjust the chiller temperature, if required.

The Earth Resistance range is 4-5 OHMS in Vulcan machine.
Steps to install print head:
- Unscrew the M4 Allen Screws from both sides of the print head to remove the head cap.
- Unscrew the screws available on the carriage plate and remove the cover.
- Mount the print head on the head plate.
- Tight the M4 Allen screws to fix the print head on the head plate.
- Fix all the Head Aligners viz. front and back sides.
- Fix the Head Tensioner Strip for aligning head left and right.
- Insert one end of the head cable on the top of the Print Head and gently press it to fix.
- Similarly, insert the second end of the head cable on the Head Board and gently lock the head cable with the Head Board.
- Insert one end of the power cable on the top of the Print Head and gently press it to fix.
- Similarly, insert the second end of the power cable on the Power Supply Board and gently lock the cable with the Power Supply Board.
- Perform the Head Purging for all colors. First, Switch OFF the Negative Pressure knobs of all color. After that, Switch ON the Negative Pressure knob of the selected color and press the Cleaning button. Similarly, perform this action for each color.
- Perform the Head Blotting to gently clean the Print Head.
- Perform the Nozzle Test to check the nozzle status of all the Print Heads.
Head Nozzles get dried, if there is direct sunlight. Additionally, UV ink also get dried due to direct light.
The front glass is used to protect us from UV light which can be harmful for our eyes, skin etc.
To perform manual spray, click the Flash button available on the Quick Access Toolbar.

To print full white in an image, open the Setting window by clicking the Edit Job option from the Quick Access Toolbar. The Setting window appears from where select the Multilayer Print tab. After that, select Layer 2 option and then, select the All radio button in the White section.
Vulcan is a UV printer which ink is cured using the UV light. Thus, UV LED lamps are used to dry the print area.
Vacuum bed is used to tightly hold the media on the bed.
Perform the following checks before using the printer:

- Purge and clean head check nozzle status.
To clean print head, open negative pressure valve of sub tank and press the Purging button available on the carriage. After that, wipe nozzle surface with the help of recommended tissue paper and clean with soft hand. Tissue paper must be wet in the cleaning solution.
VULCAN machine must be ON. In any emergency situation, machine needs to shut down, then operator has to follow the below mentioned steps to switch ON it:
- Check the waste bottle
- Check the ink level
- Check Emergency button, if pressed
- Maintain the room temperature.
- Switch ON the printer from the main power or board.
