After closing over 100 deals at the last edition of Media Expo 2017, Colorjet has set a green agenda for the Media Expo 2018, which is slated for 22-24 February 2018 in Mumbai.
The wide-format equipment manufacturer will run eco-friendly inks on all the printers that will be demonstrated at its booth.
The highlight at Colorjet will be Vulcan UV roll-to-roll printing machine that deploys Kyocera printheads. The machine uses zero VOC (volatile organic compound) UV inks.
Smarth Bansal, senior product manager, Colorjet, said, "The demand for eco-friendly branding solutions in the Indian market is growing. As a result, the enquiries for our water-based ink digital printers has boosted."
Colorjet will also demonstrate Softjet Grand and Polo HQ machines at the show.
The Softjet Grand is a 3.2-metre wide printer, which prints on the polyester-based fabrics using water-based inks. "Unlike PVC, polyester-based fabrics can be recycled, adding to the green quotient of Colorjet," said Bansal.
The Polo HQ uses ROHS (restriction of hazardous substances) eco-solvent inks, which deploy its proprietary GreenTech technology. GreenTech technology makes use of eco-solvent inks and also restricts the chemical emissions to a low level.
Among other machines, Colorjet will showcase Irisjet Pro, Aurajet, equipped with Xaar technology and Verve Mini.
